Music is one of my many passions in life, and nothing pleases me more than sharing and teaching others about the wonderful skills that are developed when playing musical instruments. I'm the ultimate people person, taking the best interest in each individual student in order to progress their skills at an appropriate rate that is fun and exciting with each lesson! Music is challenging and can be frusterating at times, but leave it to me to help break down and simplify it so you can gain confidence in yourself and overall enjoy each lesson as we take steps towards your own goals. Instruments: Drums
This is the most difficult part of drumming. If I can teach a student this, then I can teach them anything. The advanced that can already hold a steady beat, I like to develop runs and fills on the drums. I can take them into a deeper understanding of how fills can take a song to the next level. Above all else, I believe the students goals and interests are truly what guides the lessons. I may explain and design a path for the student, but it all comes back to the destination that they desire. Read More

One of the greater experiences of my life as a musician was having the opportunity of playing with The Salvation Army USA/International Band in 2013 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena California. Every student learns differently, so by finding out what inspires my student, I am able to create individiualized lesson plans that cater to my student's needs without losing focus on the fundamentals of music. Music is such a blessing and should be fun! Ample time is given to students to discover their own music and inherent rhythms while studying the vast pedigree of music that has come before us. My lesson plans incorporate everything from reading writing music, jam sessions (often times with me!), and recording time. Read More
