I have taught guitar since I was 16 years old. I have taught private lessons and have also directed music ensembles such as a rock band summer camp. I teach students of all ages and all skill levels. I have taught everything from rock, blues, pop, classical, to jazz and beyond. I have performed, written, and recorded with artists and producers from Philadelphia, PA to Los Angeles, CA. I have been playing and practicing the drum set consistently since I began in my early adolescence. Over the past decade, I have performed with dozens of ensembles of varying styles from jazz orchestras to rock outfits to more off-kilter projects. I have also joined many profession groups on regional tours, as well asdtracked in studios as a session musician. I like to create lessons geared towards each individual students needs. I work out of a few different books depending upon skill level. I try to gear the lessons towards the style of music the student likes while also teaching different techniques for a wide variety of music. I like to use rudiments and stick control as warm up exercises and then also teach different grooves and rhythms through song. for beginner students I will teach drum kit basics like setup. tuning and how to replace drum heads etc as well.
