I began teaching professionally in the Bay Area about 30 years ago. I have taught in a variety of settings includings classes, group lessons, in music stores, for school districts, at students' homes and in my own private studio. Every person learns differently and I am highly skilled at detecting this and using it to my students' advantage. I've also found that a combination of classical,jazz, and modern music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the piano and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. If a student isn't having fun in their lessons, then I'm not doing my job! In 2017 after graduating, I decided to further my career in music by becoming an after-school instructor for Brevard County schools. I taught piano and guitar for students ages 5-13. Though my contract with the school had come to a close, my passion for teaching only grew. So I began giving private strings instruction, teaching cello, bass, guitar, violin, viola and piano. I am a motivated and aspiring music educator. I have been in music since the 6th grade and am born and raised in Reno, NV. I graduated from ths University of Nevada, Reno with my Bachelor's in Music Education. I have been in an Orchestra every year of my musical career as well as participating in various Choir and Band ensembles.
