For all my students I want to get to know their interests and goals as a musician. I always start with technique and scales with 2 pieces. I always suggest using a metronome and tuner and listening to recordings of the pieces. Physical positioning with the cello is also very important incorrect instruction on posture can lead to injury’s, discomfort and intonation problems. During my 4 years at CSU, Sacramento, I had masterclasses with pianist-composer, Eric Zivian, Timothy Eddy, and Steven Doane. In 2015 I performed the Lalo Cello Concerto after being a winner of the CSU Sacramento Concerto Competition. After finishing my masters, I lived in Ann Arbor Michigan and performed with the Jackson Symphony, South West Symphony Orchestra, Adrian Symphony Orchestra, and West Symphony Orchestra in addition to playing in musicals and participating in a number of chamber series.
