I strongly believe that every person can succeed in music given proper attention and opportunity, and therefore focus my lessons differently for individual students according to their skills and interests. For beginning students, unless they are adults or already proficient in another instrument, I always start with my favorite method books to ensure the fundamentals are firmly established. My true passion for music education began when I moved to Houston for graduate school. During my time there, I quickly had grown my studio to upwards of 15 students at local music schools, and would also lead sectionals for group cello lessons at middleschools and highschools nearby. I also work with and teach for a non-profit organization called Musicians for the World, which aims to bring quality virtual music education to vulnerable communities around the world; through this non-profit, I have some students from Kenya, Haiti, Peru, Belize, and Mexico!
