For beginning students, i'll typically start with Suzuki books. It's important for students to learn the left and right hand separately before putting everything together. Once a student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I'll introduce some simpler solo repertoire appropriate for his or her skill level. For advanced, I'll be happy to talk about more advanced musical techniques and theories. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! I strive to find an individual approach to each student and it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. While daily practice is necessary for quicker progress, not every student has the time for it.
