Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I focus my instruction on technical and musical understanding of the materials. I do this by introducing pedagogical books such as Suzuki, Rick Mooney and Hal Leonard. These supplemental materials provide incremental instruction that is advantageous for the beginning student. I pair these books with technical exercises such as scales and arpeggios. These exercises provide a technical understanding that allows the student to accomplish their own musical goals. I have a Bachelor's degree in cello performance from Utah State University, where I studied with Anne Francis Bayless of the world-renowned Fry Street Quartet.
