Hello! I am an energetic and dedicated instructor that cares very much for my pupils. In 2016, I graduated from Baldwin Wallace University with a Bachelors of Arts in Cello Performance. I then lived in France and worked as an English teacher in three elementary schools. From there I moved to Cardiff, United Kingdom where I completed my Masters degree in Music Cello Performance. My philosophy of teaching is that there is a base of knowledge and skills that a student must possess before a more personal journey in music can occur. While I don't subscribe to any particular method I do believe there is a best order to learning. For my string students, I typically use Hal Leonard's Essential Elements at first, and then I introduce the Suzuki Method for solo repertoire once they have progressed on their instruments. For my vocal students, I find what type of music my student is interested in, and I then recommend a voice book that we will pick repertoire from. For my piano students, I use the Piano Adventures series, which includes the fundamentals as well as solo repertoire. Read More

I have completed the "Every Child Can!" Suzuki course and it has helped define the basics of my teaching method. The method puts emphasis on bringing out the maximum potential that is within each child. There is something in education called differentiation, and this concept says that if your teaching style does not work for the student, then it is up to the teacher to change there method to fit what works best for the child. I got my Bachelors in music performance on cello, but I started on piano and violin when I was six years old.
