Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.
lessons are available in the following areas:
Instruments: Piano, Cello
If the student does not express a total passion for wanting to learn the instrument, then I suggest that maybe this is not for them. The most important thing is that when they do have the time to practice, it is focused and in intervals that are divided up, so as not to loose concentration on what they are learning. Again, if the student is not enjoying the music with a passion, there are other things they could be doing that they enjoy! Read More
Instruments: Piano, Cello, Keyboard
For beginner students I like to start them with basic principles such as how to properly hold the bow and how to properly sit with the cello. I like to use methods such as Suzuki to work on musicality, and Essential elements to work on basics. For intermediate I like to work with the Popper etudes and the Bach Cello Suites, I also add some of the more advanced Suzuki books. Read More
Instruments: Piano, Guitar, Violin, Cello, Viola, Bass Guitar, Ukulele, Double Bass, Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar
I use the Suzuki Beginning books for cello and double bass students. For guitar and bass guitar, I use Hal Leornard's Essential Elements. The easy-to-understand and interactive nature of the Essential Elements books make them a great teaching tool. For piano students, I use the Czerny beginner etudes. My lesson plans usually include a warm-up, a review of last week's assignment to verify that the student has practiced, the main piece the student is playing, and usually something fun to sightread in the last 5 minutes of the lesson. Instruments: Cello
I like to give my students a range of music they can choose from something that they would like to play, something that would make them want to practice because they are interested in learning It. All my students will have homework. They have till the next time I see them which is usually a weeks time period. This is important because it can’t be too much work it has to be engaging and fun but technical so that the student can improve their skills. Read More

Establishing realistic expectations and developing consistent practice habits to support them are essential to success. Read More
