I like to teach by setting both short- and long-term goals with the student. My personal goal is to help the student learn a healthy and strong passion for music and to prepare them to accomplish their ambitions and to continue playing after they are finished working with me, whether it is as an amateur, as a continuing student, as a conservatory student, or as a professional. I want to equip each student to be an auto-didact, capable of teaching themselves, and to be able to teach music themselves. Read More
Instruments: Guitar, Voice, Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar
My goal is to inspire and invigorate my students with the gift of music. Scales and fingering/vocal exercises can become boring and tiresome especially for new and younger students. A. The duration of a voice lesson mainly depends on experience and age. For younger students and students with little experience, a half-hour lesson is recommended in order to prevent putting stress on a voice that is still developing and/or building the capability of singing for long periods of time. For students with more experience and significant vocal instruction (previous voice lessons, choir, etc… ) a forty-five-minute to an hour-long lesson is strongly recommended. Read More

I begin with the fundamentals of music theory that you will need to begin playing your instrument, and then I like to get straight into learning songs as quickly as possible. The student may choose what songs to learn (recommended) or I can make suggestions. You will learn a range of skills including tuning, instrument care, song struture, chords, soloing, and MUCH MORE. My goal is for you not just to learn to play certain notes or chords, but also understand why that note or chord fits where it does. Read More

Of course I am not skilled at things I have not practiced! There is no shame in beginning something as an adult and surviving the initial stages of cultivating a skill, in fact it takes a lot of courage and is something to be proud of. I began playing violin when I was 6, and stopped and switched to electric bass when I was 15. A year after that, I started playing drums and knew I had found my main instrument. Read More
