For children who want to play violin and piano, I start with the suzuki method and try to find some music that they will identify with, like disney music or the soundtrack to frozen. For children who want to play guitar, I start by teaching them the essentials in person and giving them notes to practice from (Names of strings and chords, strumming patterns and music reading). In 2001 I graduated from State Music Academy in Bulgaria with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Voice Performance and in 2009 I earned my Master's degree in Voice Performance from University of New Orleans. Performing all over Europe and North America has been one of the greatest experiences of my life as a musician. For me, it's about building or finding moments. Finding out what is going to motivate you to learn that song, practice that chord, and try to instill the desire to show it off for next time. I always talk to my students about the physical function of the vocal instrument in the first few lessons, especially if the student has not had voice lessons in the past. My goal is to uncover each student's natural voice, as free from strain and technical difficulties as possible.
