Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

Instruments: Voice
For beginning students, I start out with an Italian art song out of the the 24 Italian art song book. This helps with diction, breath support, and vocal line. Once the student has progressed, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire and let the student choose a couple of songs that he or she would like to sing. For adults, I also start out with an Italian art song, but also find out what the student is interested in and guide my instruction to keep the lessons engaging, encouraging, and fun no matter their ability level. I also possess Tenor editions. Although I mainly possess soprano and tenor literature, I do own pieces in lower keys to accommodate lower voices. I believe singing to be more similar to speech than most are willing to admit. I like to approach singing as being a fun way of communicating. Our voices are as unique as we are as individuals. I approach each student and sometimes each lesson from this perspective. Fundamentally singing is an aerodynamic process. My primary and most fundamental objective is to give my students pathways to understanding and using the power of breath to energize their singing. This energy is required regardless of vocal style.
