I want my students to have fun, but to also engage in very structured learning. All students must find time to practice during the week, but the parents must be a huge part of helping their child learn this new instrument. We will set weekly, realistic goals for each lesson. During the lesson, we will review the last concept that was learned, go over the lesson for the day and then create a lesson for the following week and be sure that each lesson is explained and understood. While I have taught violin lessons since 2010, my most recent passion for teaching occurred when I became an Adjunct Professor of Violin at New York University from 2016-2018. I held this position for two years while I was simultaneously completing my Masters degree, and maintained a studio of 10 students each semester. While at NYU, I taught a variety of students, from complete beginners to advanced violin players. After over7+ years of teaching and over 20+ years of musical expereince, I have combined the use of numerous books into my own method. Much of what I have learned also comes from personal expereince. I use audio tracks I record in my studio to give students the experience of playing with other musicians.
