As an instructor, its important to me that my students are developing both their skills and their love for music at an equal rate. I am originally from Warrenville, IL where I discovered my love of violin while studying with Dr. Lee Joiner at Wheaton College. I graduated from the Eastman School of Music in 2022 in the studio of Professor Oleh Krysa, and am continuing with my Master's degree in Performance and Literature with Professor Yoojin Jang. My mother is a piano teacher so I grew up around in a very musical household where I got to experience a community of students and teachers. Read More

I love to help each student reach their own individual creative potential.  I give them a good foundation in technique, form, ear traning, and artistic expression, but encourage them to find a piece of music or a musical style that they enjoy to pursue and make sure to save time in each lesson to work on that material.  In terms of developing technique and musical skills, I am very detail-oriented and have clear lesson plans for each class, which I outline in each student's individual lesson notebook. I studied in Spain, where I won several chamber music competitions, until 2007. When I was 19 I moved to London to continue my studies at the Guildhall School of Music Drama with professors Sven Arne Tepl and Rachel Roberts where I attained a Bachelor of Music with Honours 2:1. In 2011 I was finalist in the Max and Peggy Morgan Competition. Following my Bachelors degree, I completed a Master of Performance at the Royal College of Music under professor Jonathan Barritt and was awarded this in 2014. Read More
