I began teaching private violin lessons in high school and I have continued to teach ever since. While studying at NYU, I enjoyed working with public school students as a Teaching Artist through the Brooklyn Philharmonic outreach program. At the University it Miami I took pedagogy coursework and taught through the Frost School of Music’s preparatory and MusicReach programs. Overall, I have been teaching for over 12 years. I have experience teaching chamber ensembles, orchestra, technique classes, and preparing students all over for auditions and state competitions. I also like to arrange studio recitals when I feel the student has made progress to keep them motivated!! I have taught over a dozen students through my personal music studio at Florida State University, and many of them have gone on to win auditions at the university level. I have taught beginners solid fundamental skills and I have taught advanced students to refine their musicianship and their technique. Nothing is more rewarding than having a student fall in love with music and playing it for themselves and others. It is important to me that each student not only progresses in skills and technique, but also gains a deeper love and understanding of music. I believe playing in a group with other like-minded musicians is essential for every musician.
