I'm a classically trained violinist, with a Cajun Louisiana fiddling background. In the third grade, I began playing violin for orchestras in New Orleans, Louisiana and later had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of the New Orleans Creative Center for the Arts. I have had plenty of experience teaching both privately and in a classroom setting. I began teaching private lessons on the piano and violin in high school, where I mainly had elementary school beginners. In college, I continued to teach private lessons and also had plenty of opportunities to work with students of all different ages and skill levels in a variety of settings. I graduated from UNC-SA through both their highschool and collegiate programs. After earning my violin performance degree I continued to travel around the United States and Japan, teaching violin everywhere i went. My teaching experience dates back to high school. I was a student leader in the marching band, serving as the woodwind captain for the marching band and the senior student conductor for the concert bands. With these positions, I was able to tutor peers and work on expanding my knowledge of teaching music.
