Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. My teaching style is to MAKE IT FUN. No punishment. I encourage my students to play or sing whatever they want with my help for the structure. For example: I'm teaching a student to date music theory. At one point 10 years ago when I was teaching a student theory, she completely shut down and wanted no longer to take piano lessons because of the difficulty of it. If you would like some food for thought from your potential music mentor, I would say this for starters; if you want to strengthen your bond between you and your instrument, and wield it effectively, you have to get in the mindset first. Practice regularly, listen to other musicians that play the same instrument as you, listen to musicians that don't play the same instrument, talk with other musicians, share ideas, live in a world where you eat, sleep, breath, and love music, and be friendly and open minded.
