I started teaching guitar at about 16, and have always maintained a studio of at least a couple students. I also offered assistance in the local band classes in order to improve my chops on my alternate instruments. I've played with several local bands, played musicals for local and regional theater groups, and was the house band leader for the Williamsburg Dinner Theater for 4 years. By my best estimation, I have played well over 1000 shows (probably closer to 1200), and that number continues to grow as I develop my band, the Darrell Boger Band. Read More

I also give the practice through Practical exercises to develope felxibility within the student while he or she is playing the instrument. Just as every player has their own musical personality and voice, so too does every lesson that Nicholas gives. In a supportive, patient environment, every lesson is custom tailored to the student. Being musical is inherent to being human, so when a students’ musical abilities fail to progress, it is the teaching method that has failed, not the student.
