Hello! I am a highly energetic and passionate music educator from the central Florida area. Over the past 10 years, I have worked with a wide range of instrumental students in and out of the classroom. My primary focus is percussion (contemporary and orchestral), but I am proficient on several other instruments as well. For beginning students, i start with the fundamentals technical basics of the instrument like long notes, scales and flexibility. Once the student has progressed, i will start with Arban's method book, H.L.Clarke Technical studies for Trumpet and my own exercises. Later i will introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first performance. Though I feel it is important that each student progress at a pace that it is comfortable for them, I expect each student to put forth the effort. The lesson should not be the only practicing that the student accomplishes during the week. It is important to practice daily. The lessons should be a place to show off your hard work.
