Music is a big part of my life. I started playing trumpet in the fifth grade and eventually went to the University of Toledo where I received my bachelor and masters in music education. I have been a band director for thirteen years and have much experience starting students on all instruments. I began my teaching career during my studies at UWF, where I was brought on as Instructor of Music at Olive Baptist School of Performing Arts, here I taught guitar, brass, and voice. I have also been on the staff at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp since 2011, where I spent two summers as the vocal coach for the International Choir Ensemble of the Blue Lake International Exchange Program.
