I'm an educator and performer born and raised in the Boulder area. I graduated with High Honors from CU-Boulder in Jazz Performance, though I love playing all styles from Pop to Classical to Avant-Garde and Electroacoustic music. I've had opportunities to perform at the Telluride Jazz Festival, Dazzle, Nocturne, the Mercury Cafe, Berklee College of Music and numerous other jazz clubs and halls. My goal with all students is that they enjoy learning, become self-motivated to practice, and consider their musical abilities as a gift which they can choose to share with others whenever they feel comfortable to do so. I have experience using a variety of method books and can easily recommend appropriate materials. I am a passionate instructor who loves working with students of all ages. In 2016, I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education and was also awarded a Trombone Performance Certificate. I have been fortunate to be able to study abroad in Ireland and perform with multiple bands and orchestras at Maynooth University and around the Kildare County area.
