Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.
lessons are available in the following areas:
Instruments: Trombone, Ukulele, Euphonium, Tuba, Music
For beginning students, such as children I focus on developing strong fundamentals such as air control, mouthpiece blowing, and hand-eye coordination with their instrument. This slowly moves into rhythm and pitch reading for beginners. Intermediate to advanced students build on these fundamentals and also have the privilege of learning repertoire with performance possibilities. For adults I like to see what suits their personal interests and then work together to achieve their goals through mentorship and collaboration. Read More
Instruments: Trombone, Euphonium
For beginners I focus mostly on creating a solid tone, building the muscles around their embouchure for endurance, flexibility, and ear training. I typically will start working with students out of Book 2 of John Kinyon's Basic Training Course for Trombone. Eventually, I will introduce the student to more of the typical etude books like Voxman's Selected Studies, Arban's Famous Method for Trombone, and Joannes Rochut's Melodious Etudes for trombone. Once I feel a student is ready I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for the student's skill level and as my studio grows I hope to have students working together in small ensembles and perform in a recital. I like Faber and Faber piano adventures because they teach a lot like I do. I've been developing a power point and You Tube presentation to go along with the book for those students who need more visual stimulus. I like various curruiculum's with Trumpet and Brass players. I stay around the Trumpet players Bible using an Arban's book with some Clark exercises along with the students band book to help them not to form bad habits. Read More

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. Read More
