My vocal methods are rooted in bel canto style with a strong Melocchi technique using standard repertoire from art songs to stage to develop any voice in preparation for various styles of song. My goal is to help my students go from a singer to a vocalist so that they understand their instrument to be able to create any music as needed. As a piano method I draw from the FABER & FABER method books in addition to online repertoire resources from the standard piano literature varying in styles and difficulties from classical to the four chord structures used in many of today's popular songs and arrangements. My style of teaching seems to be very relaxed. I never force anything and I always want to give inspiration and motivation to the students. I get more pleasure and comfort knowing that this is something they want to do for themselves and not something I or their parents are forcing them to do. I think this also brings out the best playing and create motivation for the student. Typically I like to emphasize fundamentals for my students since solid fundamentals is a foundation for everything else and is something that needs to be constantly maintained and can always be improved regardless of the student's level.
