My first teaching experiences were with my father during solo and ensemble. Having hired me as an accompanist for his students, I found myself rehearsing these students moreso than accompanying them. From that point I felt encouraged to teach and help others perfect their craft. My biggest influences would have to be my past teachers, one of which taught me younger and the other as I matured. I always enjoy seeing the light bulb moment my students get when they get something right, and learn something new. My teaching method is a simple stacking method we start with a lesson, I try to find where the student may struggle most and spend time with that. Then we move forward, but revisit the lesson prior for continuity. I have been passionate about music since my early years. In 4th grade I picked up the Cello and then in 5th grade we were allowed to try band instruments and I never looked back. I chose the Baritone Horn and played all through elementary, junior and high school as well as it was my major instrument in college.
