I have years of experience teaching elementary, high school, and college musicians. Students under my tutelage have experience significant musical improvement, as well as the satisfaction which comes from working towards long-term goals and achieving them. Every student is different, and for that reason I tailor each students materials to their needs. Some students are advanced enough to begin learning from Rochut's Melodious Etudes book, while some may need something easier than that, like Cimera's Phrasing Studies book. I focus hard on the fundamentals of the instrument and don't introduce material that is too hard for the student. I also want to make sure that the student is playing their school's band music correctly, and if they need help, I work on that with them. Read More

In middle school, I began performing and teaching music during the summers at Vacation Bible School for children ages 3-10. Throughout high school, as a member of a variety of bands, I performed at a wide array of venues around New England. During this time, I ventured into song writing and musical arrangement. I also spent some time giving private trombone, bass, and guitar lessons in high school.
