Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. If students are in band or an ensemble, we can also work on pieces they are playing, as well as work towards solo repetoire if they wish to play in a recital. I will ask the student for their goals and what they wish to accomplish by taking lessons. Once we establish a goal we can work on attaining that goal. During lessons I find it useful for students to learn some basic music theory as it helps understanding patterns that can be applied to the clarinet. Since then, I have served as a high school band director for three years before stepping away to pursue other musical opportunities.
