My experiences have been to make the lessons entertaining while also meaningful. Read More

One of my greatest joys in teaching is seeing the "light bulb" go off; to see the "aha" moment when a student understands a concept I have been teaching her/him. I enjoy watching my students achieve goals previously thought to be unattainable. I make every effort to individualize my teaching style to meet the needs and personality of each student. I continue to learn by reading various music trade magazines, attending workshops, meetings and conventions. Read More
Instruments: Piano, Saxophone, Clarinet, Oboe, Music
My teaching experience began as an undergraduate student 9 years ago with a private saxophone studio. I have also taught beginning to intermediate piano, clarinet, and oboe lessons. It is from scales and arpeggios that you learn classical to jazz to pop. Having the speed and agility on the instrument is not just for finger muscle development or voice development but also for accuracy and definition in the performance. It may sound mundane but any area that a person performs music would get back to the root cause of playing scales and arpeggios Read More
