For beginning students who are children, I usually start with a hodge podge of the Alfred Piano Series and the Suzuki Piano series. I also make sure that they have a holistic music education by including the study of music theory as well. For my adult students, I teach at the pace they are interested in learning using the Adult Alfred Piano series. I believe that tailoring what I teach based on what the student wants to learn is very important. Sometimes that means I will incorporate different types of music other than Classical.
