Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I'm passionate about encouraging students to be self-motivated in their pursuit of music. In 2013 I graduated from The Florida State University with my Masters in Music Composition and Theory. I have had the opportunity to write and perform original compositions for solo guitar and various ensembles utilizing the guitar, as well as various chamber ensembles and symphonies. While teaching at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY, I have had the opportunity to work with a number of undergraduate and graduate students on guitar, with genres ranging from contemporary worship music to jazz, bassa nova, and solo fingerpicking styles. My method of teaching is very detailed instruction. There are many books that tend to start with the assumption that you know something about music or that music is easy to just "pick up." I like to start from the students' most basic skill level and fill in all the gaps as they progress. This means that starting out might be a bit slow, but the learning curve for future lessons is shortened and students eventually end up further ahead than if they skipped around. Read More

My teaching experience began at the age of 16 when a few parents at the church I was involved in music ministry at became interested in getting guitar lessons for their children, so I began teaching guitar basics after Wednesday night service.
