Robert  is an Army veteran who spent over 24 years as an Army musician.  He represented the Army as a guitarist, vocalist, percussionist,  and bassists in the US, Europe, and Korea.  In addition he has taught  and performed privately outside of his duties as an Army musician.  After he retired from the Army  in 2011 he joined the Musika team as a guitar and piano instructor and has very much enjoyed teaching his Musika students. For beginner students, I work through Hal Leonard's Guitar Method books 1-3. I then supplement with William Leavitt's A modern Method for Guitar Volume 1. I incorporate the student's musical interests throughout this by asking them for a list of their favorite songs that I then teach them the chords for. This keeps them interest in sticking to the guitar lessons while also sneaking basic music theory into the lessons.
