Amazing! However, bring them to a Blues Jam and they're lost. Without written music they don't know what to play. My students will never have this problem. They will be good music readers who understand improvisation and how to use their ears. I also feel great personal satisfaction and accomplishment, with my students progress and successes. Consistency and practice are the key to improvement but keeping the jams fun and exciting is what keeps the students coming back and practicing. As a young musician, I received an opportunity to perform with my former orchestra teacher Ken Lattimore, who is now a member of country and western group Sons of the Pioneers. In my musical career, Mr. Jackson has performed with the Marshall Symphony, Orchestra of the Pines, the SFA Chamber Orchestra and the Mu Xi Chapter Men’s Chorus of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
