I began my journey as a mentor and teacher as a camp counselor back when I was in High School. Since then, I have developed my teaching style and experience through offering private and group music lessons in after school programs, music studios, and middle schools across Massachusetts. I have played guitar professionally for 15 years, first in the Maryland/DC metro area and for the past 8 years in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. In addition to bands, I also performed as a solo classical and jazz guitarist and have performed for politicians and celebrities in exclusive private events. Read More

Riclebio J

Instruments: Piano, Guitar, Cello

For beginning cello students who are children, I typically start with Suzuki method elements. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. For guitar students, I usually apply my lessons accordingly with their genre of interest. Read More

Instruments: Piano, Guitar, Drums, Bass Guitar, Double Bass, Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar

I have had extensive lessons on all ends of the music education spectrum. I took informal guitar lessons from rock n roll musicians who couldn't read music while I was in middle school/high school, and I took classical lessons while in college from professors who couldn't improvise in more than one or two styles (or sometimes none). I believe there is a happy medium that is the ideal way for music to be taught. Read More

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
