In 2008 I graduated from University of New Orleans with a masters in jazz guitar and I have been playing guitar since I was 6 years old. I toured professionally in a band for 4 years playing 200 shows a year. I have experience teaching at college level high school level and grade school level. I believe in teaching people to be true musicians and tap into their own creative spirits, not just to be technicians at the mercy of what's written for them. With that said, I take a balanced approached between learning traditional fundamentals and some of my own more philosophical approach, drawing on metaphors and analagous experiences to help frame this learning experience in ways the student can relate and understand.
