My fourteen years as a strings teacher has included both private lessons and public school settings. As skills in rudiments and basic patterns develop, I go on to materials such as Syncopation by Ted Reed (reading,coordination,technique), and Stick Control by George Lawrence Stone (technique). During four of those years, I was a public school music teacher, but music and the arts were always fundamental to my integrated approach.
