I am passionate about music and enjoy sharing that passion with others. In 2018, I graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Therapy and minor in Psychology. I am currently a full time music therapist at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center, Main Campus. I love working as a music therapist, but I also enjoy teaching music lessons. As an active composer, musician and teacher I have been active in the Indianapolis music scene beginning in high school. Pursuing a Bachelor of Music Degree at the University of Indianapolis, I hope to eventually earn my Doctor of Music Degree and teach collegiate level. I started teaching lessons when I was 18 at a music business and taught there between 3 to 5 hours a week for about 5 years. For the past 5 years I have been teaching at IU. I have taught many different styles from classical to jazz to rock, etc. and have also watched many great teachers and tried to learn from their methods. I am currently working on a book to teach the notes and fretboard of the guitar that will hopefully be able to help students of any age or experience. Read More

Every student learns differently, so by finding out what inspires my student, I am able to create individiualized lesson plans that cater to my student's needs without losing focus on the fundamentals of music. Music is such a blessing and should be fun! Ample time is given to students to discover their own music and inherent rhythms while studying the vast pedigree of music that has come before us.
