For beginning students who are children, I start them with Hal Leonard Guitar Method Book One. This book helps the student grasp the fundementals of the instrument by teaching them common songs as well as different exercises. Once the student has a grasp of the instrument I like to tailor my lessons to each specific student. We will learn popular songs together, explore music theory, and improvisation. For adults and older students, I like to find out what each students goal is. Read More

I do like to use established books that focus on the fundamentals of music such as the Hal Leonard Guitar Method Books. Literature like that is very informative, but also a bit clinical at times, so I always like to find out what my students want to play and tailor lessons towards their specific goals. Read More
