It is really fulfilling for me to see my students use the knowledge they gain from my instructions to improve their playing level. Effective practice habits are agreed upon between myself and each student. Goals cannot be achieved without effective practice habits. When first introduced to a new student, I typically have them play for me to assess their abilities on the instrument as well as their knowledge of general music theory. Once that is done, I am then able to recommend the appropriate materials that work best for the student.
