My teaching style is very unique in that its based off improvisation and ear training with music theory lessons. Having just one of the three is a great skill, but developing an ability to read, play and improvise music is what, in my opinion, makes a great musician. I am a graduate of Texas Tech University. I began teaching privately in 1985 on the Lubbock ISD Music Tutorial Program. I went into the schools and taught students privately during class hours. I taught Tuba and Baritone Horn. In 1989 I began teaching with Lubbock Parks and Recreation in the community centers. This was more generalized. I taught Band Instruments, Voice, Guitar, Music Theory, Beginner Piano, Beginner Strings. Since lessons are tailored to the individual student's goals, it's going to be a little more laid back. Success is measured differently for each student.
