Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. For beginning woodwind students, I start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements or whatever the student's school band book is. Once the student knows how to read music and can play enough notes, I like to introduce scales. This provides a good foundation for moving on to duets and solo pieces, which are more enjoyable to play. Once the student has finished the first Essential Elements book, I like to move on to the Rubank books. Read More

I started my private flute studio in 2014, and my students range from 8-65 years of age including middle school players, college students, and adult enthusiasts. Depending on their needs and goals, I help them building the fundamentals of their playing, preparing for auditions and performances, exploring new repertoire, and developing their understanding and expression of the music. I also provide supplemental materials for basic ear training, music theory, and music history in addition to flute training to help them becoming a better musician. Read More

I graduated from Georgia State University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance. I was able to perform a wide variety of music with many diverse groups of musicians, all while learning about education and how to teach others. My teaching style really focuses around developing a love for your instrument. If the student loves their instrument and the music that is written for their instrument, they will feel encouraged to practice. I try to pick up on the student's personality and learning styles and make each person's lesson a combination of my teaching styles and what works best for the student.
