My teaching style includes using multisensory techniques that get the students reading music, listening to music, playing music, and more. I have discovered over many years of teaching that there are many different styles of learning different concepts. What may click for a student in one part of a lesson visually may not click aurally. I've been playing drums and percussion professionally for about 20 years. I've taught private lessons; I've instructed high school drum lines and percussion ensembles. Being an Army musician, I've had the opportunity to play for soldiers and civilians in the US and abroad. Currently I play drums for the band As You Were, which is the Army's musical outreach team.
