For my beginning trumpet students I always make sure to start them off with a solid warm up routine. I start them off with long tones which helps them to establish a great sound. Building a great trumpet sound is necessary, and happens by creating a warm up routine the student can do every day. In addition to long tones I will add in a few basic lip slurs from the Arban book to help the student learn how to keep that great sound while moving pitches. Read More
