Over the past thirteen years, I have taught nearly 400 students - beginning as a junior in high school with four pianists. My teaching experiences have ranged from group lessons with fourth-grade, beginner clarinetists and saxophonists, to starting brand new five-year old pianists, to preparing high schoolers for competitive auditions and performances, to substitute lessons with adults. I actively seek to have my students play for people whenever they can (i.e. church, family gatherings), and I seek out and arrange more formal and organized events such as recitals or visiting the elderly and performing at retirement villages and nursing homes. I began teaching back in my sophomore year of high school when one of my friends wanted to learn how to play the piano. I gave them half hour lessons once a week and tailored my teaching to fit what techniques they wanted to learn. After that, I began branching out and teaching other friends, and eventually found myself helping out the middle school bands during my study hall. Now that I am in college, my own playing has improved and I have found new ways to connect and teach students whether that be in person, or by using technology such as skype. Read More

I'm a 2018 graduate of Temple University's Boyer College of Music, where I earned my Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies: Saxophone Performance. I play the Saxophone, Clarinet, and Piano, and I'm glad to be teaching students all of these instruments. At Temple, I studied under saxophonists Dick Oatts and Ben Schachter. I lead my own Jazz Quartet, and I've performed with groups including the Philadelphia Funk Authority, Temple Avenue Quintet, Tony Gairo's Crosscurrent Big Band, and the Work In Progress Jazz Orchestra. Professionally, I have worked as a freelance musician across the country playing holiday ceremonies to pops concerts, and various other recordings projects. Diversifying my playing experiences has helped me to be a well rounded and knowledgeable performer, that I impart to my students. During my undergraduate degree at the University of North Texas, I frequently performed chamber music with my colleagues in the surrounding community and discussed the importance of music in schools.
