Understanding how exciting it is to play with accompaniment, I have played piano for multiple student recitals in order for them to learn collaborative skills as well. The piano is also a great way to teach harmony, music theory and improvisation because of its a visual and kinaesthetic elements. When a piano is not available, I make arrangements in my notation software, so that they can still gain the skills and experience, therefore having the music making process a more emotionally rewarding activity.
