I believe that every student's learning should be catered to for their individual needs, strengths, and weaknesses. Approaching every student as if they are different than the one previously ensures that there is assessment of needs in every lesson. I believe that every student regardless of their ability level will learn something, and should have the opportunity to learn music. Nothing is more rewarding then seeing a student from many years ago either talk about when they had lessons with me or see them playing somewhere either live or online. I have had many students continue to play when they entered college just for fun and a way of meeting people with similar interests. I enjoy showing a student how to play both the clarinet and saxophone. I would rather teach a student on how to play something rather than me performing it. Read More

To me as a musician, teaching is as important and as necessary to our art as performing, and it is always a joy to share that art with students. I graduated from Kent State University in 2015 with my Bachelor of Science in Music Education, followed by a Master of Music in Bassoon Performance in 2019, and recently completed an Artist Diploma from UC-CCM. Although a bassoonist primarily, I've performed with orchestras such as the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, and the Warren Philharmonic, as well as bands like the Akron Symphonic Winds, the Cleveland Winds, and the Packard Band. Taught and performed for for 30 years... But seeing and hearing is believing, I've posted a video of me playing ajazz demonstration of a Hubert Laws composition.. This was part of my therapy after open heart surgery and a mini stroke..
