My experiences teaching a wide. I have been a camp counselor at Interlochen Fine Arts Camp and through Western Michigan's Program. While at college and a few years after graduating I taught private music lessons maintaining a weekly student load of 10 -15. For beginner clarinetists, we will begin working out of the Voxman/Gower Beginner Method Book. We will spend the majority of the first lessons learning posture, holding the instrument, proper embouchure, blowing into the clarinet, breathing techniques, articulation, and how to develop sound through long tones and exercises.
