Learning a musical instrument should always be a very rewarding and satisfying experience.  Therefore, I have a large variety of techniques in my musical bag of tricks to challenge all types of learners.  During my 10 years as a full time band director, I have developed many musical "games", often based on Suzuki methods, to make learning fundamentals, scales, and repertoire much more enjoyable.  These include practice rewards, Band Olympics, ninja karate belts, and Harry Potter themed games. I grew up taking private clarinet lessons in the Seminole county area, all the way through high school before I studied under Dr. Lynn Musco and Mrs. Jessica Speak at Stetson University. While pursuing my studies, I took various pedagogical classes such as Woodwind methods, and Pedagogy for Musicians, both of which I received A+'s in for my final grade. I have been teaching clarinet since 2013. I love teaching all ages, including adults! Music making is a lifelong joy. My K-12 students in the past have been accepted to performing arts high schools, college music programs, All-State bands, All-County bands, youth orchestras, and earned superior ratings at Solo & Ensemble festivals. While I was in student at Roosevelt University I won audition for Civic orchestra of Chicago. While I was in Civic orchestra I played as a soloist with the Chicago Symphony orchestra ( Mozart Sinfonia Concertante for Four Winds). After graduating from Roosevelt University I won 2nd/ e-flat clarinet position in South Bend Symphony orchestra.
