Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. You can compare it to trying to learn algebra before addition or how to square root before subtraction, you will become frustrated because the concepts are progressive and you don't have a grasp of the basics yet. I believe that students move at their own pace, especially when it comes to instruments. What may come easily to one student may not be as simple for another. I believe working on fundamentals and mastering those on the chosen instruments is the most important thing for any level of player. My teaching style is obviously very different from a lot of other people. I like to set clear goals with my students rather than setting goals by myself to give to my students.
