I love to encourage my students to develop their teaching, technical and artistic abilities. For instance, the first class helps me to analyze and have an approach to the students playing. Then, I ask about his interests or concerns regarding technique, musicianship or repertory. All this allows me to make suggestions that help create a program based on the student's needs. For my beginning students who are children, I typically start with Standard Of Excellence. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. I usually balances the time by working first on fundamental/technical aspects of the instrument: intonation, articulation, rhythm, and tone; followed by study of the particular student's chosen repertoire, whether it be jazz standards, rock/pop/blues tunes, classical literature or etudes. I believe in teaching students to organize their practice time wisely, isolating specific issues on the instrument. I HAVE A SOME BUT AGGRESSIVE TEACHING STYLE BECAUSE I WANT STUDENTS TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY CAN RESPOND UNDER PRESSURE WHEN PERFORMING. I ENCOURAGE STUDENTS TO SET GOALS AND MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE ACCOMPLISHING EVERYTHING THAT THEY WANT TO ACCOMPLISH. I ALWAYS START OFF AND TAYLOR THE STUDENTS DESIRE OF LEARNING SO THAT THEY ARE EAGER TO LEARN AND HAVE FUN WHEN THEY PRACTICE OR PERFORM.
