I have been capitalizing my love of music with teaching since I was in high school, giving piano and cello lessons to children and adults of all ages and proficiency levels. I enjoy organizing yearly recitals for families and the local community to attend. In all of my teaching, I combine my students' interests with the leading pedagogy practices in string education to develop the foundational skills of the instrument as well as a fondness for it. There are several method books that I use such as Suzuki, Schroeder's Cello Etudes, and Fiddler's Philharmonic, however, I tailor each lesson path to each student based on student interest as well as proper sequencing. I currently teach high school choir and piano at Scranton High School during the week, and have taught all ages for strings for numerous years as well. My main instrument in undergrad was violin, with a minor in piano, and I have had extensive training and teaching experience on voice, viola, cello, and bass.
