I have been playing the cello since just before 6th grade and have played consistently until college where I continue to play solos and in an ensemble. I am currently attending Austin Community College for a degree in Music Composition. On top of cello, I have arranged and composed multiple pieces that I had the opportunity to play with the school orchestra for both projects and just for fun, including arrangements for 4 cellos, and small ensembles. I love teaching! I am creative, enthusiastic, loving and fun. I have a bachelor of music from Northwestern State University, where I graduated summa cum laude in 2004. I went on to start my masters degree work at the University of Texas in Austin. I then went to college as a string player and played in multiple orchestras and took part in recitals nearly weekly during my time there. I am a passionate instructor who enjoys working with students of all ages. I started performing, professionally, at a very young age, during my 6 years at the Alabama School of Fine Arts. From there, I attended the Louisiana State University, as a cello performance major and performed with the school symphony, as well as the Alexandria Symphony, the Lake Charles Symphony and local venues.
