I have been playing the cello since just before 6th grade and have played consistently until college where I continue to play solos and in an ensemble. I am currently attending Austin Community College for a degree in Music Composition. Based on that information, I move forward with music notation and performance. For this age group, I believe acknowledging their progress and achievement is critical. I like to pull ideas from different schools of thought. I would much rather paint a canvas with many colors than just a few. Some schools you may be familiar with are Suzuki, Czerny, Galamian, Flesch, Hanon, Mayron Cole, and many others. I tailor my lessons to fit the current needs of every student. I work closely with both student and parent to create obtainable goals that students can focus on so they can see their progression throughout each lesson. I find out what inspires them and tailor each lesson to their wants and needs.
